Early adopters typically are the next group of potential members. For them, a sound value case and overall vision are most critical. Value is the currency for any large-scale change. Risks have to be transparent and the overall risk-reward-ratio compelling. Navigating early adopters through this evaluation process effectively from zero to go-live is a key capability of mine that I have proven in many engagements as a spin doctor, including working relationships on all levels, from C-Level to critical technical and subject matter experts.
Category Design is a way to align and change a whole organisation or ecosystem with the goal of adoption, including all internal and external stakeholder groups. It has proven to attract, retain and grow communities with a strong alignment on goals, values, and high-quality standards.
A good adoption strategy masters the domain of value creation, unexpectedly challenges early adopters, and nurtures a strong delivery muscle in line with ecosystem members' expectations.
Once x is achieved, x can become y, and the experimentation phase can be re-entered.
